James F. Cleary
Jim Cleary is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for AmerisourceBergen. Prior to being named to his current role in November 2018, Mr. Cleary served as Executive Vice President & Group President, Global Commercialization Services & Animal Health, where he focused on extending the work of AmerisourceBergen’s pharmaceutical commercialization solutions for manufacturers and animal health, and as Executive Vice President & President, AmerisourceBergen Animal Health. Mr. Cleary joined AmerisourceBergen in February 2015 following the Company’s acquisition of MWI Veterinary Supply, where he served as President from 2000 to 2002, and then Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2015, leading MWI through its initial public offering, many years of growth and its ultimate sale to AmerisourceBergen. Mr. Cleary joined MWI in 1997 as Director of National Accounts, and was later promoted to the role of Vice President, Demand Generation. Prior to that, he held management positions with Agri Beef Co., MWI's former parent, Morrison Knudsen Corporation and its affiliate MK Rail Corporation.
Mr. Cleary graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and received his Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
